Profile

VRUASA TELASH is a noble-blooded Troll from the planet Alternia, raised by a guardian beast that resembles a great horned serpent. Highly aggressive and proud, Vruasa spent his time engaging in Alternia's bloodsports to vent his excess aggression in what he considered a productive direction. As a result of events that took place in Session 412 of Sburb, facilitated by the Union and Confederacy, Alternia was subject to the apocalypse game and destroyed, leaving Vruasa and an unknown number of other survivors to play to its finish. As a fully realized Knight of Time, Vruasa possesses broad, sweeping temporal manipulation abilities. He is adept with a spear, and boasts superhuman physical abilities, as well as a mechanical left arm and right eye. Prone to wild mood swings and emotional extremes, he is protective of his fellow players to the extreme, wielding highly destructive cosmic forces in defense of them with no regard to the consequences for those to whom he is not attached. Once strictly socially lazy and disinclined to take on responsibility, Vruasa has grown into a pragmatic leader and commands a sizeable crew aboard the MYRMIDON.

Disadvantages

  • Culture Gap: Vruasa comes from an extremely darwinist species. His standards of morality and ethical behavior are far more violent and aggressive than is acceptable for most species. Although he no longer harbors such feelings over humans, Vruasa still considers Trolls superior to most life forms.
  • Absent-Minded: Vruasa has a hard time sitting still and concentrating on one task at a time, unless it is a very active, physically involved task. He also has a habit of accelerating through time so quickly that he doesn't remember portions of his life, making him miss details or forget conversations. This does not apply to fast-paced situations like combat.
  • Emotionally Intense: As a highborn troll, Vruasa is predisposed towards mental instability. His particular mental quirk is violently passionate emotions and mood swings, which may or may not involve actual violence depending on circumstances.
  • Protection of the Styx: Vruasa has a gap in his invulnerability in his left armpit, through which even Non-Elites can injure him normally. Additionally, the extreme invulnerability of this trait has rendered it nearly impossible for Vruasa to benefit from many forms of technological medical assistance and healing.
  • Psychic Aegis: Vruasa's Psychic Aegis applies indiscriminately to friend and enemy alike, and cannot be turned off. This makes it quite a nuisance to use psionic abilities in his vicinity. (OOC: While PCs decide how this affects THEIR psionic abilities, it should have SOME effect. If you're taking advantage of the mental shielding provided by the corresponding +power, this effect should be severe.)
  • Nocturnal: Although not a universal problem, Trolls are nocturnal and most (Vruasa included) are light-sensitive. While most worlds do not have a sun so harsh that looking at it will literally burn your eyes out, it is still a concern, and worlds of that type do still exist out in the Multiverse.
  • Marauder's Coat of Mystery: Vruasa cannot maintain illusions or stealth without this coat. If it is removed, all his illusions are dispelled until he can retrieve it. If he is severely weakened, his illusions weaken proportionately.
