Survival Of The Wettest: Athela has lived much of her life near the coast. Even without her elemental abilities she is an adept swimmer, and is unbothered by the jarring motion of waves and currents. She's familiar with the basic operations and navigation aboard sailing ships. She can use the knowledge of fishing and related skills learned from her family to help sustain herself and allies during long travels.

|Assets=Resolute Blade: An artifact sword resembling the horn of Keldeo's Resolute Form, which also symbolizes that Athela is the chosen champion of his cause. At least to those that even acknowledge Keldeo still exists. It is strong enough to cut into stone and damage forged metal. The pronged backside of the blade is designed for parrying and disarming other attackers. With the sword in her possession, Athela can travel across the surface of water the same as Keldeo does without submerging, unless she chooses to do so.

|NPCs=Pokemon: Athela can catch and train various elemental creatures called Pokemon. They have various abilities, attacks and weaknesses based on their related elements. She has a natural affinity for Water types, but can train most any that are willing to cooperate with her. Her primary Pokemon consist of SAMUROTT, TIMBURR, EEVEE and GOOMY. They also have many non-attack related abilities. Samurott serves as her mount via using aquaplaning to move over land. Timburr is strong and sturdy for its small size. Eevee was bred and trained as a tracker, even if not a powerful fighter. Goomy's slug-like body is slimy, squishy and able to squeeze through tight places. Unlike other worlds Pokemon, her Samurott bears metallic armor and is a Water and Steel type, and the Timburr lineage are all Fighting and Grass types wielding heavy wood and thick vines as weapons.

She has a natural affinity for Water types, but can train most any that are willing to cooperate with her. Her primary Pokemon consist of SAMUROTT, VAPOREON, TIMBURR and GOOMY. She can also hire fast porter pokemon, such as Rapidash or Dodrio, when she needs to travel somewhere her own pokemon cannot easily. These pokemon are not trained for battle, however.

Samurott: Lancer the Samurott is equivalent to what other realms would call one's 'starter' pokemon. He is the first pokemon truly of her own that she trained, and in turn he helped her learn to control her water manipulation. The two are such intertwined companions that when Athela rides him as a mount they are practically one in motion, acting as a phenomenal unified force. Unlike other worlds Samurotts in Bayern are Water and Steel types, clad in metallic forms resembling the heavy armor of knights. As such he is not as fast as other Water types, but much more physically durable. In addition to armored tail, namesake helmet lance and metallic mass, Lancer can form sword-like blades of elemental water energy to fight with. Moves over dry land by aquaplaning, though rough and uneven terrain can become too difficult for his bulk.

Vaporeon: Bred for her by her uncle, Sprite evolved into Vaporeon to be more in tune with her trainer. Almost a water elemental in its own right, Vaporeon are prized for their ability to 'dissolve' into water and move freely through it. Sprite retains her supportive bred moves, and her tracking abilities can now be used in wet conditions and even underwater without hindrance due to her amphibious nature. Her body is able to absorb large amounts of water and use it to heal herself, or to bolster the Water-type attacks of others and wash certain buffs off enemies. Despite the increase in strength Sprite is still primarily a defensive combatant, using her capabilities to disrupt and disable foes for her stronger comrades.

Timburr: Legend holds that Timburr and its evolutions were crafted by Xerveas to help humans rebuild after the original war with Regi, which is why Bayern's version is a Grass type as well as Fighting. They are popular as labor pokemon, while the same obedient and hardworking nature also makes them capable fighters. Exceptionally strong even for his own kind; carries a huge wood log as a weapon while also sprouting thorns and ropy vines from the plant mass on their bodies. Mizzen is a bit too curious for his own good and has a habit of punching or kicking structures to see how sturdy they are, causing accidental damage when he forgets his own strength.

Goomy: It's soft slug-like appearance makes it easy to forget that Goomy is actually a Dragon type. It's slippery amorpheous body allows it to squish and squash itself through tight spaces, hide by flattening itself to the ground, and extend its pseudopod like a semi-opposable tail. The slime that hydrates its body is also its best defense. It's adhesive viscousity can be used to trap and slow foes, or cripple attackers with a poisonous variant. However the slime is also highly combustable, and extreme heat or sunlight can cause Goomy's mallable flesh to painfully dry out. Slurry has a voracious appetite despite its tiny size, and a tendancy to affectionally latch onto others while forgetting about it's sticky slime.

|Disadvantages=Pokemon: As a Pokemon Trainer, Athela has a strong personal connection with her companions. While they are all trained for battle she is highly protective of them, regarding their safety well before her own. Likewise because of their devotion putting her in a compromising situation may be enough to stall them from acting effectively as they attempt to protect her and other allies first.

Profile

Dame Athela Valemore, Knight Errant of the obscure Legendary Keldeo, the Sword of the Tides. Despite the elaborate title this brave lady started out as no more than a commoner growing up on the small coastal region of Bayern. But after discovering her ability to manipulate water and using it, alongside her skills with pokemon, to help the beleaguered people of her homeland, she proved to have a chivalrous yet humble spirit. This earned her the honor of being chosen by Keldeo to help usher his return to the mortal world, in a crusade against both the Hollow curse and the mislead society that once spurned him. As such she is the wielder of the Resolute Blade, an ancient sword that embodies both bold courage and the caring spirit to use it wisely. Athela continues her quest of protecting the innocent from corruption and injustice, even as the nobles of her home constantly try to quell her efforts for not being of the regal bloodlines they control their lands through.
