|NPCs=Chi-class Abyssal Torpedo Cruiser: Should Kuma ever be sunk, she will rise again as this Abyssal abomination. Her arsenal changes to smaller cannons in two twin mounts, but her torpedo arsenal expands to a full sixteen tubes arranged in the monsterous mechanical symbiote that takes the place of her legs and left arm. The Chi-class is highly dangerous if left alive too long, as the torpedo barrage it can unleash is devastating. Her personality also becomes melancholy and erratic. She has access to Leviathan Mode in this form. If sunk again, she returns to being Kuma. (PL 31)

* Leviathan Mode: A giant version of the normal form, Leviathan mode is designed to bring immense damage dealing ability to the table, and gives the Abyssal a more level playing field against larger opponents. All the equipment remains the same, just scaled up. Being a Light Cruiser-class, the Chi-class grows to the proportional size of a light cruiser.

Fifth Force Reconnaissance Fleet: These three girls were assigned to Kuma by the Admiral. Together with Kuma, they act as an escort force, and a long range recon unit, scouting out potential sites to expand Fleet operations, or ferret out Abyssal nests. Together, they are stronger than their component 'parts' through teamwork and tactics. (PL 32 when entire Fleet deploys.)

        * Shigure (Pl25) is a Destroyer who was known as Shigure of Sasebo, due to her lucky streak during her run. She survived all but the final battle she joined with little to no damage. Shigure is armed with Cannons, and has a surprising number of Anti Aircraft emplacements for her size, making her a force to be reckoned with against aerial foes. She also carries Type 93 'Long Lance' torpedoes for dealing with surface threats, and depth charges for submarines.

* Chitose (Pl30) is a Seaplane Carrier who has a fairly easy going attitude. As her class-name suggests, she fields floatplanes as her primary weapon, which include torpedo carriers, dive bombers and antisubmarine depth charge droppers. Unsuited for air-to-air combat these planes are deadly to light surface craft and submarines due to their armament.

|Disadvantages=Reciprocity: Kuma's fit-outs are all part of her 'self' meaning any damage incured to one translates to the other, and vice versa. She cannot translate from one fit to the other to repair damage, and any damage to her Ocean fit-out can cause severe injury to her Land Fit-out when changing back, depending on how badly damaged she becomes. The trade-off is that any repairs made to her Land Fit-Out carry over to the Ocean Fit-Out, making dedicated drydock facilities unnecessary.

Profile

The Light Torpedo Cruiser 'Kuma' was built as the first ship of and thusly the Name Ship of her class, and served as an escort for many operations during Japan's involvement in the second world war. Kuma now has arisen as the spirit of her ship to serve once again in battle against the Abyssal Fleet, protecting innocent lives from the ghouls that lurk beneath the waves. Being a Light Cruiser, she doesn't have the armour or cannon batteries of the bigger Line ships, but packs two racks of torpedoes that can wreak havoc in any naval force. She is, however, very light on the anti-aircraft due to her early construction so aerial threats are a bane. Due to how she was sunk, she has a fear of submersibles, surprise attacks and fire, having been torpedoed by the HMS Tally Ho; this caused her engine room to burst into flames which went on to engulf much of the ship before she went under. Despite this, she's a cheerful and pleasant girl with a notable verbal tick. Kuma.
